eXplorance and Instructure Partner to Integrate an Enterprise Feedback Management Solution into the Canvas Learning Platform
With an open integration between eXplorance’s Blue™ EFM and Canvas platform, higher education institutes that use Canvas now enjoy a robust enterprise-class course evaluation, test development solution and survey system.
MONTREAL, SALT LAKE CITY, May 14, 2013 – eXplorance, Inc. and Instructure announce today a business partnership to offer a true Enterprise-class Feedback Management solution for the Canvas customer base. Using the Learning Tools Interoperability™ (LTI) interface, eXplorance offers a bi-directional standard way of sharing data from the Blue solution with the Canvas learning platform which is a leading learning management system (LMS) used by more than 350 education institutions.
The Blue enterprise feedback management system is built to address the complex hierarchy needs in higher education organizations. From the dean, provost, CIO, to head of departments and individual faculty members, the solution provides control over the type of feedback required. Across the different roles, Blue enables rapid creation of 1,000s dynamic questionnaires based on course type, instructor profile and student demographics. It also combines offline data, including bubble-sheet course evaluations, and online data to form a comprehensive view.
“The Blue enterprise-feedback management solution can help institutions become more data driven in assessing their approach to teaching students,” said Devlin Daley, co-founder and chief technology officer. “This unique integration makes it easy for both students and faculty to access and manage course evaluations and surveys right within the Canvas platform.
With the interface to Canvas, eXplorance’s Blue solution provides the Canvas clients access to online surveys evaluations, mid-term evaluations, live response rates, and historical data. “Having a dynamic interface with Canvas, organizations receive real-time feedback.” said Samer Saab, eXplorance’s CEO and Founder. ”In times that the higher education market is going through constant major changes, it is important to analyze the feedback on a regular basis and not only at the end of a semester”.
This integration allows clients to finally enjoy true enterprise-class course evaluation software on the Canvas learning platform.
